Shoulder : LARS® ACJ
The right solution for the acromioclavicular joint
The LARS® ACJ is a system device, comprising LARS® ACJ Implants, LARS® Screw Implants, and LARS® Surgical Instruments. The LARS® ACJ Implants are made of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) fabric, a knitted surgical scaffold in the form of a band intended to provide fixation during the healing process following syndesmotic trauma, such as fixation of acromioclavicular separations due to coracoclavicular ligament disruptions. It is designed to mimic native anatomic ligament fibers. Our LARS® ACJ implants are non-resorbable synthetic permanent implants, highly biocompatible with native tissues in the body.
Shoulder
Ideal for the acromioclavicular joint.
LARS® ACJ is indicated to provide fixation during the healing process following syndesmotic trauma, such as fixation of acromioclavicular separations due to coracoclavicular ligament disruptions.
For the Acromioclavicular Joint
LARS® ACJ
Indicated for patients suffering from acute or chronic acromioclavicular joint dislocation with injured acromioclavicular and coracoclavicular ligaments (Rockwood grade III to grade V). The system device helps surgeons to restore the stability of the ACJ without compromising mobility of the shoulder girdle.
LARS®ACJ device system comprises:
- Two LARS® ACJ Implants sizes (LAC 20 & LAC 30 CK) to accommodate patients’ varying anatomy
- LARS® Screw Implants (available in 3 sizes)
- LARS® ACJ Instruments
LARS® ACJ Implants consist of traction threads made of UHMWPE to help the passage of the implant into the bone tunnels, removed at the end of the surgery.
The surgeon must select the appropriate LARS® ACJ Implants size based on the patient’s profile and preferences.

PRODUCT INFORMATION
LARS® ACJ Implants are implantable and non-absorbable medical devices. They are made of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) fabrics composed of adjacent technical threads, cross-linked by a mesh that holds the structure together.
LARS® Screw Implants are cannulated screws made of Titanium Alloy according to ISO 5832-3 standard. They are single use, non-absorbable and cannulated on the entire length. They all have a rounded thread to prevent shearing of the Implants, and have a standard hexagonal head for use with a hexagonal screwdriver as provided in the instrumentation.
Indications for Use
The LARS® ACJ is indicated to provide fixation during the healing process following syndesmotic trauma, such as fixation of acromioclavicular separations due to coracoclavicular ligament disruptions.
The LARS® ACJ implant components are for single use only.
